My husband and I are 30′s – 40′s and we have a 16 year-old daughter. We like the Kinsey Millhone alphabet mysteries, but it’s hard to find books we ALL enjoy. It needs to be pretty clean, too, for our daughter. Mysteries are perfect, but anything fast-paced and funny would be great. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!
I have listened to many Erma Bombeck audio books and they have an appeal to a large audience. Her writing style is exceptional!
You can also get Patricia Cornwell on audio. I find that listening to her books is a totally different experience than reading her books (which I do as soon as they are released). She has this one reader who just brings the work to life and the story gets in your head and stays there to the end and beyond.
There is also a series of audio books (five or six CDs in one case) about female detectives by female writers. It’s excellent and the readers do a remarkable job!
Have a great trip!
