I want to buy an audiobook on my computer but my ipod is formatted for windows, my computer is mac.?

Will it still work? By the way the audiobook is for school and I can’t go buy the book so i was going to buy the audiobook. Is it worth it? I know that it is a bit faster than reading but since I don’t have the book is it ok or will i forget it really fast? The book is Anthem by Ayn Rand.

Why is your computer Mac but your ipod PC? The ipod is not going to let you transfer anything from a computer that’s not the computer the ipod is synced to. The audiobook is in the same format either way, it’s transferring that’s the problem. You could copy the audiobook files onto a disk and take it to the computer the ipod is synced to, or you could reformat the ipod (if you want to move the music off the ipod, you could try an ipod manager like Yamipod http://www.yamipod.com/ I really have no idea if it will work if you’re trying to pull music off an ipod formatted for a different type of computer, but you can give it a shot) to sync with your mac.

As for the audiobook itself, I’d say how well you’ll remember it depends on whether you’re more of an auditory learner or a visual learner. Fortunately Anthem is pretty much one of the shortest of Ayn Rand’s books, and it’s themes are fairly blatant. I don’t think studying it via audiobook will be too much of a problem, so long as you’re actually paying attention to it, rather than just playing it while you’re doing other distracting things.
