I want to put an audio recording on to my iPod, but I don't want it in the main songs list. How do I do this?

I have an iPod Touch 2nd gen, Would I be able to put it in audio books or something? And would that still show in the main songs?
I don’t want it in the main list because, I don’t want it to start playing that recording when it’s going through the songs.

  1. Makai P says:

Okay the way to do this is (at least on a PC, I don’t know about Macs) is to:
    1. Open ITunes on your computer.
    2. Select the audio recording that you want (or all of them at once if there are more than one).
    3. Right click your mouse (or what ever you do on a Mac to get the menu to pop up)
    4. Click on "Get Info"
    5. After that a new window will open. Click on the "Options" tab.
    6. Under "Media Types" you can select what you want it to show up under. Then sync your iPod after selecting "OK"

After that it should no longer be in your music playlist. It will be in Podcast or Audio Book or what ever you put it in.

    I hope this helped.
