Spike Milligan out takes from audiobook session

Adolf Hitler, My Part In His Downfall by Spike Milligan This was my first session with Spike and we had 5 books to record -unabridged & in full . This we did over a few years , Despite this moody start -we got to quite like him in the end. I will confess to passing him on to my Studio Manager and Chief engineer John Mayfield after a couple of books. Then I would do all the editing in my home studio . I have about 60 minutes of out takes – will add more later. Thanks to Norma Farnes at Spike …

From what I’ve read about him, this is really interesting… getting to hear him when he’s not “on”. Thanks so much for uploading, really nice

What’s the name of the Norma Farnes book?

    Just started WWII memoir.

    Stop. Laughter. Hurts.

Go. Reading again now, NO! Another spasm of laughter. Can’t continue.

    Parachuting out of the cockpit.

    Landed.

    Started reading again.

    Thanks!

One more question – I recently ordered Spike’s Hitler My Role In His Downfall.

Loved it, but the cheesy paperback type-size for non-caps letters was 1/16th of an inch in height.

Forced to give it up after 110 pages, despite enjoying it immensely (“The Lump”!).

Is Norma’s book is legible, or is the WWII UK ink-rationing still in effect?
